Through the month of October I was able to complete 4 tasks! Along with the tasks I finished, I also started working towards several other tasks as well. I feel like I'm doing better than my first attempt at 101 Things in 1001 Days. I still have momentum and I'm checking my list more frequently. The Tasks I've Complete This Month:Go On an Outing With Dad I completed this tasks on 10/2/22 by going out to breakfast with my dad. In the beginning of October I was going through a period of insomnia which meant I was still awake in the mornings. Since I normally sleep in pretty late, pulling all-nighters is the only time I'm awake during breakfast hours. So my insomnia meant I was able to go out to breakfast with my dad! My dad is a breakfast-food lover, so it's nice to go out for breakfast together so that he doesn't need to dine alone. On this particular trip I ordered scrambled eggs, toast, home fries and bacon. And the waitress complimented my manicure! It was a nice breakfast and we ran errands afterwards. Watch a Halloween Movie in OctoberI actually watched several Halloween movies in October! I added this task because I often skip holidays and they just come and go without me really acknowledging them. I wanted to make sure I was making time to do the festive activities I enjoy! This October I watched The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, and Hocus Pocus 2! The Addams Family films are comfort films for me and I enjoyed re-watching them during the spooky season. Hocus Pocus 2 is a new film and I didn't love it, but it was nice to participate in some Halloween festivities. Get My Main Email Accounts Cleared Out I have several email accounts, but there are two that I need to stay on top of. I had stopped checking my emails at some point which has been causing me a lot of anxiety due to worrying I missed something important. I knew that I needed to sit down and go through my emails and read through any that might be important and delete any that were unnecessary, which made it a good task for my list! I ended up doing the task over a few weeks while watching TV in the background and it was actually very calming. I now have any emails that I need to keep sorted into folders based on their content and my inboxes are cleared out. Reach a 30 Day Streak on DuolingoIt took a few attempts to get a 30 day streak on Duolingo, but I eventually got the hang of it. I found it helpful to practice first thing in the morning before getting out of bed. Some days I'd do multiple lessons, and other days I'd just do one to keep my streak going. Hopefully I can keep it up! Even if I break the streak I want to maintain the habit of making time to practice.
