Well the new year is here and it's time to reflect!
The Covid pandemic definitely made an impact on certain list items. Tasks that involve going places or attending events are out the window for now. I also got a diagnosis for fibromyalgia and that has effected what I'm able to do as well. It has been a really unpleasant learning experience to find out what my body can and can't do now. Although this year was a bit rocky I don't want to let it completely derail my 101 goals! I'm starting my year off by going through my list and picking out the tasks I know I can get done this year if I put my mind to it. My word of the year this year is "progress", so my focus for 2021 is to keep up some momentum with the tasks I've started and try to at least make some progress every day.

If you haven't heard of 101 Things in 1001 Days, please check out the creators' website, dayzero, to learn more about it. Here I'll be sharing my personal list and updates on my journey to complete my 101 tasks! About My ListMy goal in creating my 101 in 1001 list was to have a good mix of tasks that would be fun and make my next 1001 days good ones, and tasks that would push me out of my comfort zone to help me grow. To create my list I used the dayzero site to get some ideas, other ideas are things I've wanted to do for a long time, and I also looked at other peoples' lists to get ideas. I found looking at other peoples' list to be disheartening at times, so I want to clarify a few things about my list. I wish my list included things like "Travel to 4 different continents", "Invest $100k", and "Buy two more yachts", but alas I am not currently in a place financially to do those things. Some of my tasks will be expensive (moving, and buying a car come to mind), so I made sure the majority of my tasks are free or low-cost. I also have a lot of tasks that are based on my hobbies. If you don't like to read, watch movies or learn random new things, you may think my list is boring and full of fillers, but to me those things are what make me feel happy and fulfilled! It may also be helpful to note that I'm single and do not have children, so you'll notice a lack of tasks about romance or spending time with family. To sum it up: If you're creating your own list an are here for ideas, just keep in mind that we are all in different places on our own individual journeys! Without further ado, here is my list!
Here's My List Organized by Category!I typed my ideas in an excel spreadsheet so that I could organize the list in several ways. |
